Stress Management & Massage Therapy

My arms were full of supplies and my mind was full of lists and things to do as I was on my way to Pure Balance yesterday. The tag from my tea had blown onto the top of my mug and I noticed that it said, pause...

This little word made me instantly smile and even laugh at myself a bit because I had been going non-stop over these past few weeks. Even that small pause and deep breath felt therapeutic to me.

Stress that is left unmanaged can contribute to health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity. Massage therapy is one addition to your wellness program that can make physiological changes in your body to help with stress management. Research has shown that massage can decrease blood pressure and levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) after even a 10 - 15 minute chair massage.

I am so excited that I will be able to offer the community a place to pause and refresh at Pure Balance. Whether you have 5 minutes or 90 minutes to experience a therapeutic massage, just pausing can make such a difference in your day, body, and mind.
