GUA SHA FACIAL FUSION BENEFITS

GUA SHA, HERBAL POULTICE, CONNECTIVE TISSUE THERAPY, MASSAGE + LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

Your face is a complex landscape of more than just skin.

The conversation around massage therapy can sometimes get stuck around the sole idea of releasing a tight muscle, but there is so much more to manual therapy techniques and massage therapy than just the Fix it or Release it mentality.

THE FACE

40 muscles, 14 bones, nerves including cranial nerve VII - the nerve of facial expression, the vagus nerve, arteries, veins, lymph nodes and vessels. As a massage therapist, I love connecting with this often times neglected region of our bodies to support my clients overall health, wellness and relaxation for a more complete and holistic approach in my service offerings.

BENEFITS:

  • Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body’s natural defense system - One third of our lymphatic system resides in the face head and neck!

  • Lessen depression and anxiety.

  • Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body’s natural painkiller.

  • Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation.

  • Improve the condition of the body’s largest organ—the skin.

  • Reduce postsurgerical swelling.

  • The emotional balance bodywork provides can often be just as vital and valuable as the more tangible physical benefits.

  • Ninety percent of disease is stress related and massage therapy relaxes the nervous system and takes the body into what is known as the parasympathetic nervous system. The parasympathetic state is restorative to the body and it is where the body needs to go to heal itself.

  • Ecology in Motion Gua Sha body and facial Gua Sha : lifestyle, emotional and physical connections and intention with Gua Sha along the Traditional Chinese Medicine channels depending on your wellness goals, addressing you, t

he client as a whole

When I connect with your face, I connect with the anatomy that comes from your neck, from the base of your head, the top of your head, your jaw, your chest - YOU as a complete person.

The Gua Sha facial fusion service offers a blend of modalities depending on your unique needs. Some clients prefer a completely face up service for face, head, neck shoulder arm and hand work OR full body massage with Gua Sha facial fusion integrated. The techniques I use in Gua Sha facial fusion include connective tissue therapy, facial massage, acupressure, Gua Sha, Thai Herbal Poultice, and the lymphatic brush.

I hope to see you at the studio to connect for this deeply therapeutic offering.
